Two, thats the number of chances you have left to see the current roster of the Rittman Indians in action. Will you take just a little time out of your friday night to support these young men. Sure, some will be back next year but some will not. Join the team of supporters! I will see you at the game!

Rally for solidarity in Wooster

Over the past few weeks there has been much attention on the topic of americans and the issue of race, There have been many protest, rallies and yes, some riots. Last week a group of around 200 people of many races got together on the square of Wooster or what they called the "Rally in solidarity with Michael Brown and the people of Ferguson Missouri".

Please take note that there were no rocks being thrown, no firebombs, or teargas. Just a group of people sharing their thoughts. Lest anyone think differently, things like this can take place without violence or hate.  As americans, we must never forget that we will never agree with everything that we hear but we must always support the rights of others to say it.

Good job to the people of Wooster and Wayne County for showing that rallies such as this one can be held in a peaceful way.

Smithville 4, Rittman 1 in Boys Soccer

The Rittman team was the first to score but they found themselves defending their goal for much of the game as Smithville dominated the movement of the ball.

Rittman Wins! 21-14

Times have been hard for Rittman football for the past few years but last night the team defeated Akron North 21-14.

There is something different this year and your can feel it on and off the field. I am going to all it "leadership". Rittman has a new coach Levi Nelson.

Nelson seems to connect. A connection that is not only with the players but the fans and the community as well.

Several weeks ago while attending church I noticed several new faces in the crowd. These new faces included Nelson and many other members of the team. I thought that was a great example of not only coaching but leadership as well.

There is something different and it just might be contagious. Who knows what these young men may do this year.

Enjoy the pictures!

The final game of the year

Dreaming of the future!

Last night was the final game of the regular football season in my area. The Rittman Indians have had better years but I had the privilege to be on the field with these young athletes and can say that they never gave up.

Being on the sidelines you hear things that others may not. I listen, and can say that I never heard one “out of line comment” from any players or coaches. This is true from both sides of the field.

Good job to all involved and I look forward to snapping a few more photos next year!

Strangers are just friends waiting to happen!

I ran across this today and thought I would share. How often do we encounter a “stranger” who is simply a friend you have never meet before?
